Brews and Prose Celebrate Anniversary

Ohio City has for years now established itself as the epicenter of an explosion of fine food and drink that has taken root in the Cleveland area. The West Side Market, Great Lakes Brewery, the McNulty properties… all of these unique culinary visions have converged within a few city blocks to rival any “heavyweight” restaurateur neighborhoods found in Chicago or New York City. However, at the Market Garden Brewery on West 25th, an otherwise excellent suds & grub affair has been spruced up another notch with the addition of a monthly reading series entitled Brews & Prose. Sporting the motto “Literature is better with beer”, on July 2nd the series will be celebrating its one year anniversary with readings from two tremendous area authors – nationally renowned food writer and chef Michael Ruhlman, and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Connie Schultz.
